Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park.

On the 1st day of the safari, depending on your location in Kampala that is either at the Entebbe International Airport or at your hotel in Nairobi your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris, will pick you, welcome you and introduce to you about the 2 days chimpanzee trekking safari. After the briefing you will start on your journey to Kibale forest national park. Along the way you will have the stunning features before reaching the park, along the way you will have the stopover in Fort portal town and then have a visit to Amabera Ga Nyina Mwiru, and then have the fascinating sightings of the incredible crater lakes views. As well you will have the en-route lunch, after lunch you will proceed with your journey until you reach the park. And upon your arrival, you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park and departure.

On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and then transfer to Kanyanchu park headquarters for the chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups of 6 people per group and then each group will be allocated to experienced park guide and then enter the rainforest and start trekking in the forest while looking for the chimpanzees.

Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees are located because these creatures keep on moving from one place to another while looking for food. During the trekking looking for the chimpanzees you will be fascinated with the spotting of various primates like L’Hoest’s monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey and sighting various bird species, spotting plant species and makes the experience spicy.

And once the chimpanzees are located you will spend one hour in the presence of the chimpanzees while watching the chimpanzees doing their daily activities like playing, fighting, mating, resting, hunting, watching them making nests for the night, observing their behavior, taking pictures and recording their videos to show people back home after this wonderful African safari. After the one hour of experience you will trek back to the park headquarters and then meet with your driver guide and then rewarded with the certificates for taking part in chimpanzee trekking. Later you will return back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and embark on your journey to Kampala with stunning views along the way until you reach Kampala. And once your arrive your safari guide will drop you at your convenient place that will mark your safari to the end.
