Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls national park.
Depending on your location, on the first day of 4 days Murchison Falls safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris, will pick you and then welcome you and brief you about the safari. After briefing, you will start on your journey to Murchison falls national park with the beautiful views along the way of the landscapes and among many others. Later you will have en-route lunch. After lunch you will proceed with your journey and then make another stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for a rhino trekking to where you will spot the last remaining rhinos in Uganda as they are grazing right next to you and spotting other various wildlife present. After the experience you will continue with your journey to Murchison falls national park, to where you will first visit the top of the falls and have the wonderful experience with unforgettable memories of the beautiful waterfall splashes and spotting various animal species and bird species and among others. After hiking the falls, you will drive to your lodge then check in for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
On the second day of the safari, wake up have be served with your breakfast, after breakfast, meet with your safari driver and then drive to the park to spot the park’s great early risers as they can be very active including cheetahs, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, Uganda Kobs, antelopes, baboons, warthogs and among others. This is the perfect time for game viewing that takes approximately 3 to 4 hours that offers you unforgettable safari memories. After the long and exhausting time of game drive you will be transferred to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will meet your safari guide and then go to wonderful boat cruise experience; this outstanding and relaxing while viewing various hippos, crocodiles in water that are eye catching, as well you will spot various elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, antelopes along the water shores drinking water that offers you perfect viewing experience, as well you will spot various bird species during boat cruise like Shoebill storks, cormorants, African fish eagles, bee-eaters and many others. After the boat cruise you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking.
On the third day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, together with your packed lunch meet your safari guide and then start your journey to Budongo forest for the chimpanzee trekking experience. This is where you will first go and then report to the offices of Uganda Wildlife Authority majorly for the briefing about the rules, regulation and then the expectations for chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups and each group being allocated to a chimpanzee ranger that will led them through the experience and guide them in the forest. Chimpanzee trekking takes a period of about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees. Along the way looking for the chimpanzees you will be attracted by various biodiversity in the forest, and when the chimpanzees are allocated you will be given a period of one hour to be in the presence of the chimpanzees that watching them doing their daily activities, watching them play, feed, grooming, taking their pictures, recording their videos to show people home after the experience and among many others. After the experience you will trek back to the starting point and then your safari driver will drive you back to your lodge.
Alternatively, you will go for guided nature walks that is exciting and unique safari activity that offers you the opportunity to explore the area on foot with the company of the experienced park guide and then armed park ranger to protect you from any danger to the areas to where the safari vehicles cannot reach, and during the experience you will be thrilled with sighting of various bird species, animal species and among many others. And these guided nature walks can be done in one of the places in the park namely Albert Delta, Kaniyo Pabidi forest, Rabongo forest, Hikes around Sambiya River lodge, hiking to the top of the falls. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then be served with breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet with your safari guide and begin on your journey to Kampala. Along the way you will have enroute lunch either Masindi or Luweero depending on the time. After lunch you will continue with your journey until Kampala, and upon your arrival you will whether be dropped at Entebbe International Airport to catch a flight back home or dropped at your hotel in Kampala that will make your safari come to the end.
