Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison falls national park.
On the 1st day of the safari of 7 day Murchison, Kibale and Queen Elizabeth national park safari, our driver guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from Entebbe International Airport or from any other place in Kampala. He will welcome you and brief you about the safari and then start on your journey to Murchison falls national park the largest national park in Uganda, along the way you will have stunning views to Murchison falls national park takes about 5 to 6 hour’s along the way; you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking experience that takes about 2 to 3 hours while admiring these magnificent creatures. After rhino tracking you will have the enroute lunch. And after lunch you will proceed to the park and upon your arrival you will be transferred to the top of the falls for a stunning experience to where you will have views of the waterfall, with the water splashes and spotting colourful wildlife close. After the experience you will be transferred to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise at the bottom of the falls.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park for the morning and rewarding morning game drive; this is where you are going to spot the diverse numbers of lions, buffaloes, hartebeests, oribis, waterbucks, Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks, leopards, Jackson’s hartebeests and many others, as well you will spot bird species including Gant herons, Abyssinian Ground Hornbills, Gray-crowned crane and among many others, after the experience you will be transferred to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will be transferred for the afternoon boat cruise experience to the bottom of the falls, to where you will have amazing wildlife viewing along the river banks that includes elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes, as well you view the crocodiles, hippopotamuses in water. As well you will spot the water bird species like hornbills, cormorants, bee-eaters, fish eagles and among many others in the cool atmosphere close to the falls. After the boat cruise you will return back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest national park.
On the 3rd day of the safari, of the safari you will wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and transfer to Kibale forest national park that is found in the western part of Uganda. As you exist your park you will spot the diverse animal species during the enroute game drive including giraffes, lions, buffaloes, elephants and spotting bird species. As you start on your journey you will have the enroute lunch with the thrilling views of the wonderful scenery, of the tea plantations, Rwenzori Mountains, viewing the crater lakes and among many others. And when you reach the park you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and afternoon Bigodi nature walk in Kibale forest national park
On the 4th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. You will meet your safari guide and then transfer to Kanyanchu park headquarters for the chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups of 6 people per group and then each group will be allocated to experienced park guide and then enter the rainforest and start trekking in the forest while looking for the chimpanzees. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees are located because these creatures keep on moving from one place to another while looking for food. During the trekking looking for the chimpanzees you will be fascinated with the spotting of various primates like L’Hoest’s monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey and sighting various bird species, spotting plant species and makes the experience spicy. And once the chimpanzees are located you will spend one hour in the presence of the chimpanzees while watching the chimpanzees doing their daily activities like playing, fighting, watching them making nests for the night, observing their behavior, taking pictures and recording their videos and among many others. After the one hour of experience you will trek back to the park headquarters and then meet with your driver guide and then rewarded with the certificates for taking part in chimpanzee trekking. Later you will return back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will go for Bigodi nature walk to where you will visit Bigodi wetland and then explore the diverse numbers of bird species and other animal species in the cool scenery. After the experience you will meet your safari guide and then transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer from Kibale forest national park to Queen Elizabeth national park.
On the 5th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then take your blissful breakfast. After breakfast then check out from your lodge and then, you will meet with your safari guide. And then begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park, you reach the park during lunch time with the enroute crater lakes exploration and among other attractions around the area. Upon your arrival you will check in your lodge and be served with lunch. After lunch you will go for the late afternoon game drive in the park to spot the park’s incredible animal species like buffaloes, lions, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, antelopes, and others, without forgetting bird species. After the experience you will transfer back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 6: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
On the 6th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast your safari guide will pick you from your lodge and transfer you to the park for the morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains for the stunning experience. During the morning game drive you will spot the different animal species that includes buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, and many others as they are grazing in the open savannah plains, during the game drive you will spot the predators like hyenas, lions, leopards looking for the fresh of the day, viewing various bird species and among many others. After the morning game drive you will drive back to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel, the water channel that connects Lake Edward and then Lake George. The boat cruise on Kazinga channel takes a period of impressive 2 to 3 hours that gives you the opportunity of large herds of hippos, and large schools of crocodiles in the water, you will spot the elephants, waterbucks, and others along the water shores washing away their thirst, as well you will spot water bird species like cormorants, fish eagles, hornbills, yellow-bellied storks, African fish eagles. After the boat cruise you will return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 7: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, you will get up early in the morning and then take your breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and then start your journey back to Kampala; as you exist your park you will enjoy enroute game drive to spot the early risers like lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards and among many others. You will proceed with your journey and have enroute lunch in Mbarara town and then continue with your journey with the second stopover at the equator to where you will buy the craft souvenirs, taking pictures, have the equator experience.
From the equator you will proceed to Kampala and then you will arrive in Kampala in the evening and upon your arrival your driver guide will drop you off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to check a flight back home that will make your safari come to the end.
